What's Happening

Worship is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on most Sundays. Sharing worship will be held on May 11 and May 18. Participants are encouraged to share a song, scripture, or story, etc. Commissioned Lay Pastor, Barbara McCarty will lead worship on May 25. Please, dress comfortably.

Poiema's annual Seder was held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. It was a spiritually renewing time and we appreciated sharing this with St. Andrew's members. There were 35 in attendance. 21 guests were from St. Andrew’s. Camila found the afikomen.

The Poiema book study group will next meet on Sunday, May 18. The study begins following a vegetarian meal or meal with vegetarian options, hosted by Poiema about 5:30 p.m. The book study will begin at 7:00 p.m. We are studying Living Buddha, Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh. May will be our last session with this book. Linda Rowold will lead the discussion of Chapter 10. Join us at 4:00 for worship or 5:30 for the meal and book study.

With the spring-like weather, the labyrinth is particularly inviting. It is a short walk past the cemetery. Call if you need directions once you get to Poiema. 468-4012

Turn on Roadrunner View Rd. off of Blake Manor Road about 5.5 miles SE of Manor. Manor is east of Austin, Texas on Hwy 290 E. Click on Poiema Maps from the home page.

How to get to St. Andrew's Presbyterian for Seder on April 19th: The church is in Pflugerville to the west of I-35. From either Mo-Pac (Loop 1) or I-35 exit at Well's Branch Parkway. St. Andrew's is on the north-east corner of Well's Branch Pkwy and Wells Port Drive. It is only a few blocks from I-35.
